Star Wars Movie Poster Photoshop Contest Gets Strange but Funny Results

Freaking News ran a Star Wars movie poster Photoshop contest earlier this year. The results are in and some of these are pretty unusual. One of the most distinctive is a sort of mashup between Darth Vader and The Dark Knight. For some reason, it kind of works. Some of the other entries are a bit strange, but they are all kind of humorous.

The Empire Strikes Bay Area

When I first saw this image yesterday, I had trouble figuring out what it exactly was. Luckily, I recognized San Francisco and traced it rapidly to artist Mike Horn. He made this series of still images after people asked for hi-res wallpapers from his videos Death Star Over San Francisco and Death Star Destroys Enterprise.
