After the Panasonic Lumix GX1 was spotted in Taiwan last week, Panasonic finally unveiled the full Monty about this camera. This micro four-thirds camera is the successor to the GF1, which was raved about by professional and amateur photographers. It basically takes kick-ass photos, in a very small and compact package, meaning that you can take great pics without having to lug around a heavy DSLR.

There’s something inherently cool about rugged point-and-shoot cameras. You can toss them around, drop them in water, and they’ll still end up taking great photos. For most people, it’s become apparent that their smartphones are replacing their point-and-shoots. However, your iPhone isn’t particularly rugged.
