A team of Russian researchers is close to breaching into Lake Vostok, a prehistoric lake that’s been trapped deep beneath the Antarctic surface for the last 14 million years. Vostok is the largest sub-glacial web of more than 200 lakes, which are hidden 2.5 miles (4 km) beneath the surface.

For now, I’m not impressed.
It starts out like Conan the Barbarian. I don’t think that people back then shaved as much as the actors. It’s mainly ahistorical. Too bad. In fact, I’d have to verify this with some research, but I wonder if people back then talked the way we talk. Anyways, I feel that this movie is filled with anachronisms. Then again, it’s only entertainment, not historical fiction.
Until the beginning of the month of April, the movie grossed over 243 million worldwide. It cost about 105 million to produce. It’s been reviewed as a terrible movie. Hopefully I’ll find that funny at some point.
