I was totally out of it at the beginning of the day. Yesterday I got up at around 9PM after my after school nap. I coded some more and talked with my wife. I went to bed watching some old Tom Baker Dr. Whos.
The day actually began really late for me, around noon. I had overslept. The dull throb of sleep inertia stayed with me most of the day. I usually sleep in on Saturdays, but I get up between 9 and 10AM. Today was different. I’ve been using my brain too much this week. The brain needs a while before it gets used to all of this new use.

I went to bed early last
light. Last night.
I was tired. It had been a long week, power naps aside. I was getting some passive aggressive vibes from my Taiwanese coworkers since I gave notice the week before.
I’ve learned some interesting news about one school. My morning work hours are spread around two schools of the same branch. It’s a bit of a hassle to go to two different places on different days, but after a few weeks I got used to it. In fact, I like the school where I spend most of my time a lot better. It’s the smaller school. At the big school, they just put too much pressure on everyone. A foreign teacher confided in me that she was getting side-effects from the stress she was under.
