The bad weather had been getting me down. On the few days that the weather was suitable for riding, I couldn’t go. The weather finally improved last week, and it thankfully carried through the entire weekend. I was really itchy to get back on the bike, and also to try out my new gear. I had my old riding boots repaired, the outsole had come unglued, gotten some Dainese Delta leather pants (perforated), and also added a Dainese Super Speed Pelle C2 jacket (also perforated) to my armamentarium. I went to Taichung on the weekend, here are some of the photos I took. The D200 is feeling old, I can’t wait to get the D800 in a couple of months. Some of the shots turned out nice, others didn’t. Lots of shots of the aggro Russian go-go girls. The ones of Cookie Lai are my favorites.
When a friend mentioned that there was an event in Taichung, a city to which he had just moved to, I jumped at the chance to go there. Even though I’ve been in Taiwan for a while, I haven’t seen much of the island. That being said, after having worked most of the day on Saturday, I took the 8PM HSR to get to Taichung. Before the event, we went around the Feng Shia nightmarket. I don’t mind nightmarkets, but I don’t really like the big crowds. After we had eaten, drank a Red Bull at 7-11, we were on our way.
