For a moment there, I wasn’t sure if these sculptures were real, however, they are. These incredibly tiny sculptures were created by an artist using a microscope. They are incredibly detailed for art of this scale, and I imagine need to be quite careful when you’re around it, otherwise it could be crushed or simply blown away.

There’s something about miniaturized gadgets that’s very appealing. This new router was unveiled by ASUS at CES 2013, and they claim that it’s the smallest router ever made. They’re probably right, because this thing is tiny.

What’s there not to love about Lomography and their various low-fi cameras. Sure, your smartphone probably has nicer resolution, but the analog flavor of these little cameras is hard to beat, even with Instagram’s retro effect filters.

Marketing a new digital camera can be problematic these days, since most people are happy to snap photos with their smartphones. It’s only when you take a lot of photos that you realize that the camera sensor on your phone might not be good enough for every situation. The Nikon COOLPIX S01 hasn’t got the biggest sensor, but it’s diminuitive size will make it easy to carry around as an adjunct to your smartphone’s camera.

It was recently discovered by a team of scientists that the Philippine tarsier (Tarsius syrichta) can communicate in pure ultrasound, issuing calls that are so high-pitched that human ears cannot perceive them. The huge-eyed tarsier definitely has arresting looks.

I’m all for miniaturization, but at some point, tiny becomes bothersome because you’ll most likely end up losing your tiny tech. That being said, there’s something awesome about an HD camera that can fit on a keychain.
