Prison Break is an American serial drama television series that premiered on the Fox Broadcasting Company on August 29, 2005. The story revolves around a man named Lincoln Burrows who was sentenced to death for a crime he did not commit and his brother Michael Scofield’s elaborate plan to help him escape his death sentence.
Created by Paul Scheuring, the show is produced by Adelstein-Parouse Productions in association with Original Television and 20th Century Fox Television. The current executive producers are Paul Scheuring, Matt Olmstead, Kevin Hooks, Marty ,Brett Ratner.
The show is currently in its third season. The uniqueness of Prison Break is attributed to its serialized story structure, a similar format used by Lost and 24, and to its setting, as very few television series were primarily set and filmed in a prison. Its success and recognition as a prison drama revived interest in the genre following the success of Oz.

Two full seasons of the show have aired so far. However, due to the Writer’s strike, there are only 13 episodes which have currently been produced for the third season. The final 5 episodes began airing in 2008, starting Jan 14. If the strike is still active when the thirteenth episode airs, the series will be put on indefinite hiatus until new episodes can be written and produced.

In the last episode, Sucre got $50K from Gretchen to stay on the task with Linc. Sammy got a gun. Lechero needs to calm Sammy down.
T-Bag is watching the players. Whistler gets Mahone. It’s time. Whistler tells Scofield that T-Bag and Mahone are in the deal. T-Bag is left upstairs to guard their work. The others go down into the tunnel. The tunnel needs to be braced by struts. Michael thinks that it will take two days. Mike needs a saw and a hammer. Lechero sends T-Bag to get the stuff.
Sammy makes his move. Lechero is cast out of his luxury cell. Sammy wants Scofield dead. Sammy puts a case of rhum as bounty for the head of Scofield. He announces that he’s taken over the prison.
Sucre is helping out Linc for the escape plans. Linc is looking for Gary Miller. Bellick is busy boasting about his win in the fight. T-Bag blackmails Bellick into getting into a fight with Sammy. If he doesn’t, T-Bag will spill the beans on how he won the fight with acetone.
Sofia meets up with Linc again. Gretchen is sending a message to Edward Guthrie as Gary Miller. Sucre meets with her. He tells her some BS story. She gives him a cashier’s check for $25K. He gets the rest after the escape.
Bellick defies Sammy and gets the chicken foot. Another fight will happen later today. Bellick doesn’t find acetone.
The acetone can is empty. Bellick is freaking out.
Linc needs Sofia to translate for him as he makes an illegal purchase. It’s a cell phone activated C4 bomb.
The boys are stuck in the tunnel while the power struggle is going on top side. Whistler tells that he used to run a charter. He then ran it exclusively for Gretchen’s company. He doesn’t say anything interesting.
Sammy is prepping himself for the fight. Bellick didn’t find any acetone. It’s too late. It’s time for the fight. While the fight happens, Scofield comes out with his team to get the tools. They run into Sammy’s boys and have to run back to the tunnel. Whistler is caught outside and getting beaten up.
Bellick is getting his ass kicked. Sammy is called back to his cell to deal with Scofield. Sammy gets Lechero. Sucre meets with Gretchen and plants the bomb in her car. She tells him that he knows about Marie-Cruz. Sucre wired the money to Marie-Cruz. She also tells him that his fake fight with Linc won’t sail the boat. She wants real info.
Sammy goes up in the tunnel and Scofield neglects to tell him about how fragile the whole thing is. Sammy is caught underneath the rubble. Lechero and the other get rid of Sammy’s men. A sinkhole has appeared. They have to make sure that the guards don’t notice. They are good. Lechero takes back control of the prison and kicks the bodies over the ledge for everyone to see.
Whistler wonders if Scofield is a real engineer. Scofield took out the supporting brace so that Sammy would get killed. Whistler doesn’t know this.
Sofia finds a hidden compartment in one of Whistler’s bags. It’s a suitcase.
Linc and Mike doubt that Whistler is a fisherman. Sofia has just found out what Whistler really is.
