Survivor Micronesia I’m In Such A Hot Pickle S16E09 (CBS)

We all knew that it was coming. The merge of the tribes. Last time, Ami was voted off. Will another favorite leave this week? Or will it be a fan.

I found it hilarious to see that Ozzy is preparing his own funeral by obviously flirting with Alexis in front of Amanda. It’s not enough that he’s already with “her”, he has to be with other women as well? Actually I think that they might have only made out a few times. Amanda is weary of him. From the previews, it looks like Ozzy will need to win the immunity next week in order to stay in the game. He does have the immunity idol. However, will he be able to use it in time?

At Malakal, the survivors are riling from the tribal council. It was hard. Erik is surprised that he is still here. Ami dug her on grave. Ozzy didn’t believe her anymore.

At Airai, the tribe believe that Erik is gone. Eliza thinks that she will go to the final three with Ami and Jason. She feels like he’s an outsider, like her. Jason tells Eliza that he’s got the hidden immunity idol. This is actually the fake one Ozzy made when he discovered the real one.

At Malakal, the survivors are about to change beaches. They think that they will be merging. Erik is looking forward to this. Erik tries to consolidate his alliance with Ozzy. Ozzy likes the kid.

At Airai, they get the same message. Alexis, Parvati and Nat talk strategy. They have to downplay when they merge. Parvati is the hot pickle. She’s got a decision to make. Sticking with Amanda/Ozzy and James or going with her new threesome.

The tribes arrive at a new beach with food waiting for them. Eliza thinks that this was the worst merge for her. Ami is gone. She expected Erik to be gone.

They will spend the night on the new beach and decide to which camp they are going. They are all heading back to Malakal’s beach.

There was a bowl of bats on the table. James starts chowing down on them. James thinks that they taste like juicy rabbit.

Erik pretends that Dabu means good. He suggests it as a tribe name. He finds it funny. He made it up. Alexis surmises that the game will shift to a different level. It’s going to be on a personal level. Ozzy is cuddling with Alexis. Amanda doesn’t like it. Amanda wants Alexis gone.

Cirie doesn’t like the newcomers. Jason wants Ozzy to teach him how to fish with a spear. Ozzy knows that Jason has the fake immunity idol. It’s poetry in the making. At least, that’s what he says. Meanwhile, Jason hides his fake idol.

Eliza asks Parvati what happened with Ami. Parv tells her that Ami tried to vote Ozzy out. Eliza wants to stick with the favourites. Parv says that she doesn’t know. It’s all changed. Parv finds her ridiculous.

Parv and Amanda are catching up. They see Eliza starring at them. Parv wants to get rid of Eliza. She tells Amanda the pickle that she’s in. Amanda didn’t like it. It puts her in a bad position. Alexis is a motivational speaker.

It’s time for the first individual immunity challenge. It will involve water and endurance. Jason tells Eliza  that if he wins immunity, he’ll give her the immunity idol. Then whomever Eliza and Jason vote for will be eliminated.

The survivors have to stay underneath a grate while the tide rises. The person who stays the longest will win immunity. After 35 minutes, Amanda is the first one out. After 45 minutes, Parv and Alexis abandon. Cirie is close behind. Nat is out after 50 minutes. Eliza is out. Erik is out. It’s between Ozzy, Jason and Ozzy. The water is over the grate. The girls find it painful to watch. James opts out. Ozzy is out. Jason wins. It was close. Jason’s technique just worked better. He used his hands to form a straw.

Jason is stoked that he beat Ozzy. Parv and Nat are talking with Alexis. She tells them that the plan is to get out Eliza. She talks this over with James and Amanda/Ozzy. Eliza overhears them and wants the immunity idol from Jason. He goes to get it for her. He puts it in her bag. Eliza immediately knows that it isn’t the real idol. She thinks that Ozzy must have put the “stick” in the hiding place. Jason thinks that’s a bummer for her. Eliza is just shit out of luck.

Amanda talks with Cirie. She wants to get rid of Alexis. Meanwhile, Ozzy and Alexis are lying together talking about his travels to Australia. Cirie suspects that Amanda is jealous of Alexis.

Jeff starts tribal council by asking Alexis a few questions. Without knowing, they paint a target on her back. Actually, there was already a target. It just became obvious to the other players, at least those who were paying attention. Cirie says that Alexis is a triple threat. A strong mental, physical and social player.

Jeff asks Alexis about Eliza’s game. Alexis says that Eliza played a strong physical and mental game but a weak social game. Eliza didn’t like that she referred to this in the past tense, meaning that she’s about to go. Eliza said that she probably didn’t play a strong social game. Jeff asks Ozzy about this. Ozzy says that you need a socially weak person that everybody hates to take with you to the final. James agrees. That’s the way to win survivor. This may have actually saved Eliza. Meanwhile Eliza is rolling her eyes.

It’s time for the vote. I wonder if Eliza will use the stick. Of course she will! It’s going to be funny. Eliza pulls out the stick. Ozzy is laughing his ass off. Amanda is smirking as well. Eliza tells everyone that Ozzy has the real one. Jeff throws it out in the fire. Eliza is voted out by an 8-2 vote. The last two votes didn’t matter. Eliza is the first member of the jury.
