Fresh on the heels of the boring Twilight craze, and the well-deserved True Blood phase, CW is offering up its latest in teen dramas. Apparently, this show drew 5 million viewers its first night. That’s probably due to Twilight-hype. I can’t stand Twilight. It sucks ass. I couldn’t read the books, but read a review from Dan Bergstein on those Stephanie Meyer books. It was very entertaining. The movie kind of sucked as well.

This is the situation, as I’ve divined it using my psychic powers. The Fox network saw that Twilight was really working well. Wow, maybe vamps are cool again, said one exec. Another said, maybe not, remember Forever Knight. Then, everyone went bonkers for True Blood. The same exec said it confirmed his theory that vamps are back in, notably teen vamps, not crazy sex-addicted vamps. One exec mentioned Teen Wolf, the other slapped him on the back of the head.

So, we need to find a teen vampire series. Wait, my daughter used to read some vampire thingie called The Vampire Diaries in the 90s. Let’s pressure L. J. Smith to write some sequels as an added incentive. That will make it cool!

Warning: spoilers ahead

Klaus tries to turn a bunch of werewolves, but it doesn’t go according to plan because he doesn’t know that Elena is still alive. Stefan does but he’s able to hide it from Klaus. Meanwhile, Jeremy starts getting involved with the ghosts of Anna and Vicky, who have been haunting him.

Elena comes to see Damon. She tells him about Stefan’s call. Damon is giving up on trying to find Stefan. Elena gets Alaric to tell her where they had tracked Stefan to. He relents and tells her what’s up. From Tyler, Elena discovers where Stefan is heading. There’s some wolf preserve in Tennessee. She heads out there with Alaric. She gives the ring to Alaric. It’s of no use to her, because she’s a Petrova doppelgänger. Damon finds them. Alaric told him what they were planning on doing.

Klaus and Stefan find a pack of wolves.

Mrs Lockwood gives her son some verbena. He discovers this when he gets some more strange-tasting coffee at the Grill. Carol calls someone called Bill to deal with Caroline. Tyler confronts his mom about the verbena. She doesn’t want him to be with Caroline. He shows her what he is.

Jeremy wants Matt’s help to contact Vicky. He says yes then he says no. Then he comes to see Jeremy with some beers. Vicky says that she can come back. Anna tells Jeremy not to trust Vicky.

In the woods, Klaus and Stefan start turning some wolves into hybrids. Something is wrong. Ray is going bad. Stefan is sent after Ray. He gets bitten by Ray. Stefan sees Elena, Damon, and Alaric in the distance. He hides them from Klaus.

Ray comes across Elena, Damon and Alaric. Alaric ends up shooting Ray and having to use one of their wolfsbane grenades. They tie him up, but he starts to turn. They run away.

Damon ends up in a pickle. Stefan saves him. He tells him that he’s never coming back and that he should keep Elena home.

Klaus’ little experiment went wrong. All of his werewolves are dead. It’s because Elena is still alive, but he doesn’t know that. He gives Stefan some of his blood to cure him.

Damon tells Elena that Stefan isn’t gone. There’s still some of him left inside.

Tyler wakes up. His mom promises that she’ll make sure that Caroline won’t come to any harm. She calls Bill back. Caroline wakes up in some cell. She’s chained up and Bill is her jailor. It’s her father. That was predictable.
