This season starts out with two surprises. Well, not really, but two changes to the game. The first thing is that the two tribes will be living in the same camp. The other thing is that it’s men vs women, kind of like on The Apprentice. Good or bad? In my opinion, it’s mostly good. A bunch of women together is a recipe for disaster. They will immediately start bickering, infighting and just making things go wrong. This is what happens with the ladies.

This is the episode in which the women take over. I found it surprising that the men didn’t even try to mount any kind of resistance. They could have orchestrated something, but even in the last episode, Jay just voted along his tribal lines, like a dummy. Jay finally gets voted out and he didn’t really see it coming. The girls have already decided who will end up in their final tribe. It will be interesting to see if any men will remain.

Tarzan tries to tell Troy that the girls have an alliance and are going to pick them off, one by one, but he doesn’t really listen. He thinks that he’s immune because he’s got an immunity idol.

They get some stuff in tree mail. They have to compete in a DIY reward challenge. They have to throw bolas at some begs. The winning tribe will receive a boat tribe to a local island to get a BBQ. Kat gets 2. Tarzan gets 4 so the red team has a 6 pt lead. Christina gets 1. It’s 6-1. The red team wins. Jay, Tarzan, Alycha, Kat, and Troy get on the boat.

Kat talks with Jay. Jay doesn’t trust anybody.

Back at camp, Kim says that they should get rid of Jay, Troy, Tarzan and Leif in that order. She’s talking with Kat, Chelsea and Alischa. Chelsea is the weak link. She doesn’t want Troy or Jay to go because she is lying at them.

Aliccha is annoyed at her. Kat talks about Chelsea with Sabrina.

Jay and Troy are talking strategy.

Then Jay talks with Kat about getting rid of Alysia. He wants her gone. Then he talks with Kim, Chelsea and Sabrina about voting for Alishia. They lie to his face and say that Alyysia will be going next, followed by Christina.

Chelsea doesn’t like lying to him.

Kim tells Alyiasha the plan.

Troy is concerned that the girls are going to pull a fast one on them. Jay now believes “his” girls, Kat and Kim.

Now, Troy is getting paranoid.

It’s time for the immunity challenge. They will stand barefoot on a wooden perch, with their hand tied to a bucket. When their hand drops, they are out. Jeff tempts them with food. Tarzan is out right away. Christina is out quickly. Sabrina gets the first temptation. She has milk and two cookies. Kim and Kat step down to get cupcakes.

Aliysha drops out, as a favor to Chelsea. She gets a bowl full of candy and chocolate. Troy is out 45 minutes in. Jay steps down for chicken wings and beer. Leif and Chelsea are the last ones in. I don’t understand why Jay stepped down. That was stupid.

Chelsea tells stupid Leif to drop out of the challenge so that he appears less of a threat. He does do it for some burgers.

I love money.

Kim tells Chelsea that they will split the vote between Troy and Jay. They will throw 3 votes to Jay just in case that Troy has the idol.

Kim lies to Troy in the face, and it arouses his suspicions. He takes his idol with him to tribal. She was being fake. He tells Jay that he has an idol, and that he’s playing it tonight because the girls are maneuvering against them.

Jay is voting for Alyschia, and expects everyone to do the same. Troy asks him to vote for Kim, but he won’t.

Jay tells Kim that Troy has got an idol and that he will play it. Kim has got them all wrapped around her fingers. She’s got a smug smile on her lips. Jay tells Kim the whole plan. She’s worried, but not that worried because she’s still smiling a lot.

It’s time for tribal. Kim pretends that she’s worried. It’s not very convincing. Then they start talking about immunity idols. Alyyscha basically says that Troy has got the immunity idol.

Troy plays the idol. They all knew that he had it. He should be worried. The girls knew he had the idol, so they didn’t even put all of their votes against him.

Troy gets 2-4-2-1 (Troy, Jay, Alyysa, Kim), but his votes don’t count, so Jay is sent packing.

Kim has managed to outplay the men. The women have smug smiles.
